“I guess my mom will be ecstatic to see her jewellery on television” says Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega’s Shweta Mahadik
Zee TV’s popular fiction show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega has been a favourite amongst TV viewers courtesy its unique and never-seen-before concept revolving around the country’s youngest saas. Having intrigued and entertained the viewers with several interesting twists and turns in Guddan (Kanika Mann) and Akshat’s (Nishant Singh Malkani) love life, the show is all set to witness a 20-year-leap in the upcoming episodes of the show which showcases the tragic death of Akshat and Guddan as they attempt to save their only daughter. Post the leap, while Durga Bahu (Shweta Mahadik) will be seen taking over Guddan’s responsibility of raising Choti Guddan, her character will also see a complete makeover.
Bringing quite a transformation in her appearance Shweta Mahadik will be seen donning a new classy and edgy appearance, wearing pastel shade sarees that match her transformed personality. In contrast to the long hair that her character flaunted, Durga will be seen wearing her hair short which surely accentuates the stylish appearance given by the makers to the actress. Excited with this fresh appearance to her character, Shweta also decided to give a small personal touch to it by adding a few items of mother’s jewellery to the new look.
Sharing her thoughts, Shweta said, “The 20-year leap features drastic changes in the character arcs and looks of all actors and hence I decided to get a little experimental with my look. I had my mother’s jewellery with me and thought to put it to use for my new character’s avatar. My mom got these pieces from Gujrat and they have a rustic, earthy and traditional look which makes them a perfect match to the chequered sarees that Durga will now be wearing. I always believe that when it comes to a character like Durga, jewellery, especially heavy and bold ones play a crucial part in highlighting the features of the character. Moreover, giving a personal touch always works and I’m glad these came to good use. My mom will definitely be quite ecstatic to see her jewellery on television.”
Well, we couldn’t agree more with Shweta, we love her new look!
In the track post the generation leap, television star Savi Thakur will be the new male lead essaying the character of Agastya Birla. On the other hand, Kanika Mann, who flawlessly brought alive the character of Guddan onscreen, will now be seen playing the role of her own daughter – Choti Guddan post the leap.
