They say a successful marriage requires falling in love many times, and always with the same person. A great marriage is not the one when a ‘perfect couple’ comes together, but when an imperfect couple learn to enjoy their differences.
Amidst all the divorce and break ups happening in the Telly Town, ‘Yaaro Ka Tashan’ fame Malini Kapoor is celebrating three years of successful marriage with her husband Ajay. The couple has flown to Goa for a romantic weekend.
We spoke to Malini and she said,” Yes, we have completed three years of marriage, and we’re here in Goa to celebrate.”
When asked about how these three years have been, she spoke her heart out, “Honestly, the first year was very difficult. You are not used to each other, and it takes time to adjust. In our case, we also had cultural difference as I’m a Punjabi and Ajay is from Rajasthan. My message to all girls is that they should be patient, because the first year is very crucial in a marriage and you need time to settle down. After the first year, my marriage has been lovely.”
Talking about her anniversary plans, and she said,” We’re definitely not the candle light dinner kinds. We are romantic, but in our own way. We both like to relax, to eat good food and spend quality time together, because both of us are busy in shooting every day.”
She was all smiles at the mere mention of her husband Ajay, talking about her quipped she, “There’s nothing better than having your best friend as your husband. Before marriage, he used to be very carefree, but after marriage the way he has taken up all the responsibilities, is very commendable.”
