The image of a hero should not be stereotyped: Sudip Sarkar
Actor Sudip Sarkar, who is currently seen on Colors Bangla’s Gachhkouto (Magic Moments Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd.), feels that there should not be any preconceived idea about the image of a hero.
At a recent press conference of the show, Leena Gangopadhyay, creative head of Gachhkouto, said that the time has come to break the stereotype image of a hero in television and that’s why she chose Sudip Sarkar to play the male protagonist in the series who is talented but neither has six or eight pack abs nor has the looks of a typical hero. She also asked Sudip to accept the challenge.
So, did the actor accept the challenge?
Yes, of course!
Sudip, who is also known for his performance on Star Jalsha’s Kusum Dola, said, “Like every other actor of our Industry, I too had always wanted to work with Leena di and I am lucky that I got the opportunity. Like didi, I too feel that there should not be any preconceived idea about the image of a hero. The world has changed. If we watch TV, films and world cinema, we will realize that the image of a hero should not be stereotyped.”
“I have always been honest with my work. It’s a big responsibility and I will give my 100 percent. I hope that not just didi, my work is liked by the audience as well,” he added.
Good luck, Sudip!
