“I am excited to come back with a show which is slated to go on floors in the next month.” – Amrita Prakash

Last seen in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya on Zing, the talented Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai fame Amrita Prakash charmed the audience with her flawless acting skills. But it has been a long time since the actress has gone missing from the television screens.

When we contacted Amrita to find out more about what engages her, we were rather surprised to find out that the lady has now opted for a parallel career behind the camera!

In conversation with Amrita, she shared, “I am associated with a digital advertising agency and I direct short films. Being in front of the camera is always going to be my first love but since I’ve always been a curious child, along the way because of the on field experience I also had a chance to understand the technicalities. I’ve been very keen on understanding the behind the scenes process for a long time. So the switch to direction was quite natural to me. It’s given me the chance to liberate my creative energies. Also, I never wanted to assist anyone. So with the explosion of digital media content, I was able to create opportunities for myself to direct hands-on.

With regards to my career with television; well, I am excited to come back with a show which is slated to go on floors in the next month. I cannot spill any details about this project as of now. I love the balance that I have going of being behind and in front of the camera.”
